Monthly Prayer: April 2025

Holy Week is a time for us to pause and reflect on what it truly means to live out our faith in a world where there is poverty and injustice.

Yet even in these moments of struggle, we are reminded that we are not alone. Our faith is a guiding light, a source of strength that carries us through life’s most difficult moments. It is this light that keeps hope alive — in our own lives, and in communities around the world. 

To accompany you through Holy Week we have created a Holy Week reflections booklet featuring voices from Colombia, where communities face the daily challenges of conflict and poverty — yet still bear witness to the power of hope and resilience. You are warmly invited to use this booklet in your own time of prayer, whether at home or in your parish. 

In this Jubilee Year we are invited to be Pilgrims of Hope — recognising the possibility of a better world and playing our part in building it. By journeying together this Holy Week, we reflect not only on Christ’s sacrifice but also on the enduring hope that unites us as a global family.
