Within this year’s WEE BOX Lenten resources you’ll find Teachers’ Notes to guide you in learning about the global hunger crisis and how this impacts our sisters and brothers in Zambia.

You’ll also find activities connected to TIOF, links to Kahoot quizzes and lots more information on this year’s WEE BOX appeal.

While we’re providing all the resources you need to run your own quizzes, activities, assemblies and prayer we recognise the importance of a SCIAF speaker in the classroom or at assemblies.

Teachers’ Notes

Facts, stats and the real-life perspective of communities in Zambia who are experiencing devastating hunger.

These notes will equip you with all you need to know to help share this year’s WEE BOX appeal with your class.

Classroom activities

For either Primary or Secondary with links to the TIOF curriculum.

Activities include presentations, quizzes plus a recipe for Zambian scones. Please use accompanying videos (above in 'videos' section).

Assembly resource

A presentation for you to lead your own WEE BOX assembly for Primary or Secondary, with accompanying notes. You can download our PowerPoint using the links below, or use the WEE BOX Assembly Sway.

Don’t forget to join us on You Tube on the 24th February as we stream our digital WEE BOX Assembly. Hosted by – and including pupils – from around Scotland, we will learn and pray together in solidarity.

Prayer resource

This prayer resource, for Primary and Secondary, includes everything you need for your own SCIAF Day of Prayer service on Friday 17th March.
