Thank you to our Kiltwalk champions
13 May 2021
Thank you to all that took part in the Kiltwalk Challenge for our #WEEBOX appeal - it's not an easy feat!
We raised a fantastic £4819.50! With the amazing 50% top up from Sir Tom Hunter with help from the UK Aid Match scheme, this gives us a grand total of £10,829 – well done to all involved. The money raised will make a huge difference to children with disabilites in South Sudan.
The hills are alive for SCIAF
After her SCIAF school talk, Emily was inspired to make a difference in the world. She took to the hills for three days straight and raised £260! Fantastic work, Emily!
Kiltwalk cuties
HUGE thank you to the teachers and pupils at St Dominic's in Crieff who took part. We loved all your enthusiastic photos!
Inspirational words from Elaine
Elaine McGinlay, our very own Development Education Officer raised a fantastic £645. Amazing job, Elaine!
Elaine McGinlay said:
"The WEE BOX appeal this year is close to my heart because for big walks like the #Kiltwalk, I use a leg brace as I have multiple sclerosis. I’m very fortunate to have this aid and access to a physiotherapist.
"The WEE BOX appeal will help to offer similar support to young people living with disabilities in South Sudan."
A couple of Ben Ledi legends
Peter is a proud SCIAF supporter and works for RBS, a Kiltwalk sponsor, so naturally, he signed up to the challenge and made the most of it! He climbed Ben Ledi with his wife and raised an amazing £478.
Matthew took the scenic route
Matthew has been a supporter of SCIAF since he was wee. He mapped out a circular 26 mile route from Glasgow to the Falkirk wheel! Now to get training for next year's attempt...
