Our star fundraisers
23 June 2020
Every year, our wonderful supporters put their faith into action to raise life-changing money for our brothers and sisters in need.
We want to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who has given up their time to raise money for us - especially during these difficult times. With a little creativity, this year's fundraising efforts have continued to be show-stopping.
School fundraising
Lots of pupils and teachers raised funds for our #WEEBOX appeal before lockdown - thank you!
Girls at St Aidan’s High School trudged through the mud for 10k.
We had 'Guess the Grinch' at St Francis Primary School.
There was double trouble at St Mungo’s ‘Dress Like Twins’ day.
Miss Cairney transformed into Gerry Cinnamon for 'Sing for SCIAF'.
Times changed and we all had to stay at home, but this didn't stop our dedicated fundraisers...
Twitter Egg Hunt
Miss Macken has taken part in SCIAF fundraising for 11 years. She didn't let quarantine get in the way of her efforts. She organised a fantastic virtual egg hunt via Twitter for all her pupils!
2.6 Tuba Challenge
On 26th April, hundreds of runners were unable to compete in the London Marathon. Instead, the 2.6 Challenge allowed people across the country to do their bit at home for charities affected by the pandemic. Paul Drury, our Fundraising Manager, took 2.6 laps of his house while playing the tuba. Amazing.

Isobel's Day of Pink Fundraising
To raise money for SCIAF, Isobel created a full day of pink activities: wearing pink clothes, dying her hair pink, and making pink pizza – yum! What a fantastic idea!
A gig from your living room
David McKendrick kindly agreed to livestream a gig from the comfort of his home. He put on a fantastic performance and raised nearly £2000! Watch it back today.
Thank you to all our fantastic fundraisers! We couldn't do our work without you!
